Eildon Scottish Highland Dance Academy

The heart and soul of “Eildon Scottish Highland Dance Academy” is to have fun, make good memories, learn the intricacies of Scottish Highland dancing, and enjoy competing in the local highland dance community. Families are encouraged to attend other activities, such as soccer, acting, and similar interests. Eildon Academy expects a normal commitment to dancing, but also fosters having a life outside of dancing. We are a family-oriented dance academy and work with the families’ availability and schedules, as the instructor’s own time permits. The instructor (Arielle Allard) is a SDTA certified dance instructor and has two years experience working in the Olympia School District. She loves working with kids and sharing her passion for highland dance.

“Eildon Academy” honors FUSTA’s “Code of Ethics” as found on their website under “registration forms.” The “Code of Ethics” states how others are to be treated in the dance community. Though this is a competitive sport, the highland dance community fosters a mutually supportive environment. Dancers and dance families are encouraged to view each other as a “team” rather than “competition.” Dance families will treat each other with respect and dignity. The instructor holds herself to these standards as well.
